Qasim has over twenty years of product and technology development experience in the fields of digital subscriber line (DSL), global system for mobile communications (GSM), code division for multiple access (CDMA), Ethernet and ATM technologies.

Prior to founding CoMira, Qasim held executive-level engineering management positions at semiconductor and system design companies including Vice President of Software, System and VLSI Engineering at Ikanos Communications, Inc.; Vice President of VLSI and Software Engineering at Quantenna Communications; Director of Advanced Product Architectures at Custom Solutions Group, Director of Engineering, Communications and Standard Products Group at LSI Logic; and Co-founder of Engineering and New Product Development at Technology and Trade, Ltd.

Qasim graduated with bachelor’s degree in electrical and communications engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore, and has master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Idaho.

He is also the holder of multiple patents in the fields of wireless, networking and memory technologies.
